Explorer Bus 48-Hour Ticket

Offer Image
Auckland's museums, gardens, and historical monuments are all in your pocket with a 48-hour ticket on the Auckland Explorer Bus hop on hop off sightseeing tour.

Explore Auckland's top attractions on your own time frame with a 48-hour bus pass that includes a free return Devonport ferry ticket.

This ticket offers you access to both the Red and Blue routes, each with double-decker buses departing regularly on a seasonal schedule. From October through mid-April departures occur every 20 minutes from all stops, and May through September departures occur every 30 minutes from all stops.

The two different bus routes cover top attractions and cater to nature lovers and history buffs, with stops such as Mt. Eden, Sky Tower, Te Wao Nui - The Living Realm at Auckland Zoo, the Auckland Museum, Bastion Point, Parnell Rose Gardens, Mt. Eden Gardens, and many more. Wi-Fi is available while onboard the yellow double-decker branded buses. Take a few minutes to connect with family and friends, or take time to upload your amazing photos to various social media sites.

You may choose to hop off at Mt. Eden, which is dominated by a volcanic peak also known as Maungawhau. Here you can find various hiking and jogging trails that lead to impressive views over the Hauraki Gul. Mt. Eden Gardens is an award-winning garden on the side of Mt. Eden, and covers an expanse of over 5 acres with collections of perennials, vireyas, camellias, bromeliads, and native New Zealand plants. If you enjoy gardens, perhaps you will hop off at the Parnell Rose Gardens, which is a beautifully kept rose garden in the district of Parnell.

Along with the top attractions, the bus regularly stops at additional sites, such as Sea Life Kelly Tarlton's, Bastion Point Lookout, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Wintergardens, Westfield St. Luke's (one of the big three shopping centers in the western suburbs of Auckland), the Museum of Transport and Technology, Queen Street, and Sky City, a casino and event center. It is safe to say that each of these stops offer their own unique allure. Choose to hop off and back on as you please, allowing you to explore only the sites that pique your interest.

Access to each of these locations is easy and straightforward with the 48-hour ticket aboard the Auckland Explorer Bus. Don't wait a minute longer! Buy your tickets today and enjoy the freedom to explore the essential Auckland sites at your leisure.

Please Note: There are two bus routes (Red Tour and Blue Tour). Each route takes approximately 1 hour to complete without getting off.
